Why Always Cricket?

"Indians are born with a bat in their hands" as they say because as we all know that India is a country which worships cricket and cricketers. we do play many sports but as we all know that there is a lot of scope for Indians in cricket as this is the sport which is never going to fade away with time. the government is focusing on other sports like football and kabaddi by starting other leagues but still IPL is the league which has always housefull in the stands of the stadium. cricket is the most well known and most successful sport in this country and even you ask your parent that you want to continue your career in sports like cricket, they will still think that it's ok if you continue with cricket because it earns well in this country and other sports don't even have a stand infront of the sport like cricket.

MILLIONS  OF heartbeats stopped when Sehwag got out in the finals on the first ball. A man committed suicide because his God Sachin Tendulkar did not perform well in finals of World cup.
No one remembers that in Shooting, Gagan Narang won four Gold medals in Common Wealth Games 2010, or  Indian World Champion wrestler Sushil kumar has won the gold medal in FILA 2010 World Wrestling Championships or Olympic bronze medals won by tennis star Leander Paes (Atlanta, 1996), but  Anil Kumble's 10-wicket haul, Harbhajan's hat-trick, and Virender Sehwag's 309 will be evergreen in memory.

Cricket is a sport introduced by britishers and we have excelled in that sport but we didn't focus on the traditional sports like kho kho, kabaddi, lattu, kancha, satoliya. These are the traditional sports on which our countrymen should be proud off but our kids doesn't even have any idea about these sports and only the kids in villages play these games. I asked my father about these sports and he replied saying that they used to play these type of games and they used to have fun playing these games.
Even I have experienced playing these type of games and we used to play these sports seriously in our school play time.
